Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how KickFund LLC ("KickFund," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the KickFund website and application (the "Service"). The Service is intended for users in the United States.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication details (we support sign-in through Google and other providers).
- Contribution data: the teams you support, your contribution amounts, and contribution history.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles card data under its own security standards.
- Team and athlete data: team administrators provide rosters, scores, and placements. Youth athlete names are stored to calculate and display results.
- Usage and device data: standard log information such as device type, browser, and interactions with the Service.
3. How we use information
We use information to operate the Service — calculating points and contributions, processing payments, sending result notifications by email and push, providing customer support, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.
4. Youth athletes and minors
Protecting children is a priority. Full player names are visible only to authenticated members of a team. On any publicly visible page — share cards, links, or leaderboards — player names are automatically abbreviated (for example, "Alex R."). Team administrators must certify that they have parental consent before adding a player. The Service is not directed to children, and accounts may only be created by adults.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service: with payment processors (Stripe), notification and email providers, and analytics or error-monitoring tools, each acting on our behalf. We may disclose information to comply with the law or to protect the rights and safety of users. We do not sell personal information.
6. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, though no system is completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
You may access or update your account information, cancel contributions, opt out of non-essential notifications, and request deletion of your account by contacting us.
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Texas), you may also have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it; (b) access a copy of your personal information; (c) correct inaccurate personal information; (d) delete your personal information; and (e) opt out of the sale of personal information, the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising. As described above, we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact form. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, you may appeal by responding to our decision, and we will review the appeal.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
