Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1. Nature of contributions
KickFund enables supporters ("donors") to make voluntary contributions to youth sports teams and leagues ("teams") based on a per-point contribution tied to game or competition results. Because contributions are voluntary fundraising payments rather than purchases of physical goods, no shipping or product return applies.
2. Refund policy
We want every donor to feel good about supporting their team. If you believe a contribution was made in error, was charged incorrectly, or was unauthorized, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will review your request.
- Billing or calculation errors: If a contribution was charged for the wrong amount — for example, a points total was entered incorrectly by a team admin and later corrected — we will refund the difference or the full amount as appropriate.
- Duplicate charges: Duplicate or accidental repeat charges are fully refundable.
- Unauthorized charges: If you did not authorize a charge, contact us immediately and we will investigate and, where confirmed, issue a full refund.
- Discretionary refunds: Contributions are held for 7 days before they are disbursed to the team. During this 7-day holding period, you may request a refund of a contribution for any reason and we will honor it. Once funds have been disbursed to the team, contributions are generally non-refundable, except for the billing errors, duplicate charges, and unauthorized charges described above.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
3. Cancellation policy
A contribution is a commitment based on future team performance. You may cancel or change a contribution at any time before the points it applies to are earned:
- Cancel a future contribution: You can cancel an active per-point contribution from your account at any time. Cancellation stops future charges but does not reverse contributions already earned and charged for games or competitions that have already taken place.
- Per-game caps: Every contribution is subject to a per-game or per-competition cap, so your maximum contribution per event is always known in advance.
- Account closure: You may close your KickFund account at any time by contacting support.
4. Disputes and chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first — we can usually resolve issues faster than the formal dispute process. We work with our payment processor (Stripe) to investigate and respond to all card disputes and chargebacks in good faith. If you initiate a chargeback, we may provide your transaction details and contribution history to the card network to assist in the review.
5. How to request a refund or cancel
Contact KickFund support by phone at (307) 301-5324 or through our contact form. Please include the team name, the date of the relevant game or competition, and the amount in question so we can assist you quickly.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
